Just In: Court of Appeal reaffirms Ighodalo's nominatlion as PDP Candidate PAMELA EBOH The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has reaffirmed the nomination of Asue lghodalo as Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the September Governorship election in Edo State. Recall that the Federal High court presided over by Jistice Iyang Ekwo had earlier declared that the PDP governorship nomination processes held on February 22nd, 2024 were non compliant with its own constitution, hence, all the processes was set aside, In a unanimous judgement by a three man panel delivered by Justice U. A Musali in the suit between PDP vs Hon. Kevin Mohammed & 5 ors and marked CA/ABJ/CV/763/2024, the Appeal court held that the February 22 primaries of the PDP in Edo State, which produced Dr. Asue Ighodalo as Governorship Candidate of the PDP was validly and lawfully conducted. They consequently affirmed Dr. Asue Ighodalo as the rightful Candidate of the PDP in the forthcoming September 21st Guber Election in Edo State.
