The Governor of Anambra State, Prof Chukwuma Soludo has conveyed his warm felicitations to the Anglican Bishop of Awka and Archbishop of Niger Province, the Most Reverend Alexander Chibuzo Ibezim, on his 62nd birthday celebration.
Soludo in a goodwill message by his Press Secretary, Christian Aburime on Monday, described Archbishop Ibezim as a most distinguished, caring, spiritually vibrant, well-educated and widely travelled cleric and humanitarian who is worth celebrating for his life of impeccable service to God and humanity.
He recalled that Archbishop Ibezim, having been ordained an Anglican priest since 1994, have over the years served diligently in different dioceses, touching many lives and making numerous positive contributions to the advancement of the Church and society at large.
According to him, the revered cleric has been duly honoured within and outside the Church with awards which include, Paul Harris Fellowship Award by the Rotary Club of Awka in 2013, the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Anambra State Government in 2017, and the Grand Commander Medal Award in 2022.
Soludo added, "I join the family of Archbishop Ibezim, the Anglican Communion in Awka and beyond, friends and other well-wishers in wishing you a happy birthday celebration and many more years of a fruitful and impactful life in God's service."
