Just In: Soludo appoints former PDP Chairman, Ken Emeakayi Special Adviser on security

Following the increasing spate of crime in Anambra State, the state Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo has appointed former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,, Ken Emeakayi as Special Adviser on Community security.
Soludo who swore Emeakayi in on Tuesday at the executive chamber of the. Government House, Awka on Tuesday charged him to take charged him to coordinate an effective local security in various communities in the state.
Emeakhayi, a popular politician in Anambra until recently held the position of President General of Okija community in Ihiala Local Government Area of the state was said to have coordinated security in the area.
Despite Ihiala being a hotbed of insecurity and known to have camps by secessionist elements, Okija has since been very peaceful, and this has been attributed to Emeakhayi’s hardwork.
With the appointment, he will play the role of coordinating the effectiveness of local security in various communities in Anambra State.
Recall that Emeakayi played a key role in ensuring security during the late Dr Chinwoke Mbadinuju administration.
