Apologise to Soludo within 14days or be ready for showdown:  Obi warns Ebube  Muonso

PAMELA EBOH, Awka

The National convener of the Recover Nigeria Project (RNP), Comrade Osita Obi, has called on the Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry, Uke in Anambra State, Rev Fr. Emmanuel Obmma to apologise to the state Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo over his recent outburst within 14 days or be ready for a showdown

Obimma had in his new year message asked the governor to resign over the state of insecurity in the state, describing it as horrible.

But Obi during a press conference in Awka on Saturday urged the cleric to support the governor to fight the ugly trend instead of attacking him.

He described as unfortunate development, noting that the situation has not reached the point where a highly respected man of God like Ebube Muonso would engage the governor in a wide spread media war.

Obi who doubles as an activist threatened to storm the Holy Ghost Adoration Ministry Uke, in protest, if the Spiritual Rev Obimma fails to apologize to Soludo.

He said, "To the best of my observation, no governor, since the return of democracy in 1999, has done what Soludo administration is currently doing across the 179 communities that constitute the state within a space of two years and nine months in office.

"I expected that the clergyman would have booked an appointment with the governor or call him on phone to discuss on the way forward instead of resulting into a media war.

"Governor Soludo is a good man. He has listening ear. The issue of insecurity is the responsibility of every Ndi-Anambra irrespective of political, tribe, ethic and religious affiliations. If Fr. Obimma think he has all it takes to address the situation more than Soludo, then he should pull off his cassocks and enter the political arena like his colleague who is currently serving as the governor of Benue State to contest the position.

"I am giving the Man of God, 14-days ultimatum to retract his outburst and tender an apology to governor Soludo or I will personally storm his Ministry to also pipped his activities in the Church."

While appealing to residents in the state to continue to pray for the governor to enable him actualize his vision of making Anambra a peaceful, secure, livable and prosperous state in Nigeria,  the activist assured that in no distant time the issue of insecurity will come to an end,
