I will rather lose with integrity than win with corruption- declares ADC candidate, John Nwosu

The Governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, John Nwosu has condemned the act of vote buying during election, saying that he would rather lose with integrity than win by corruption.
Nwosu who spoke on the heels of reports of vote buying across the state on Saturday expressed deep concern over the increasing incidence of vote buying, describing it as a grave threat to democracy and the will of the people.
Speaking to journalists in his country home, Nnewi where he earlier cast his vote, the ADC flag bearer alleged that huge sums of money were being deployed to polling units in Nnewi to undermine his chances in the election.
He however maintained that his campaign remains rooted in integrity and principle.
Nwosu said, "I will rather stand by integrity and lose honorably than buy votes to win."
Many observers have however complimented his calm and confident disposition, describing him as “a man of conviction.”
