The Commissioner for Youth Development, Patrick Mba, and his wife have been released from captivity.
Recall that the duo were abducted on Friday in Edo State while on their way to Abuja for the wedding ceremony of Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo's daughter, Adaora.

According to a source in the corridors of power, the couple who spent a night in custody were realesed by their abductors on Saturday, August 17, 2024, following payment of undisclosed ransome.
The source who spoke to Pamif blog on condition of anonymity saud, "Yes, the Commissioner of Youth Development and his wife have been released. We thank God that they came out unscathed and healthy.
The state government is yet to issue any statement on the development.
