An Onitsha based apprentice in his 20's has died as a result of drug overdose he allegedly took to enhance his sexual performance.

According to a video posted on social media, the boy whose name was given as Kenechukwu, popularly called KC booked a hotel room to meet with a sales girl in Onitsha main market, but went ahead of her to allegedly douse himself with different kinds of drugs.
.
A Content creator, Obeleze who posted the video on his Facebook page narrated the story as it happened in Onitsha with the picture of the deceased lying dead in a tricycle, (keke Napap) while his girlfriend narrated her own side of the story.

The girl whose name could not be ascertained at the time of filing this report said, " He called to come upstairs. On getting there, he had already

He said, "This boy you see lying here is dead. He is an apprentice in main market Onitsha and is due for settlement this year. Everytime you see him in the market, he will full his pockets with money going up and down.

"He had an appointment with his girlfriend, but instead of leaning on his natural capacity, he went and took drugs like Mpkuru Mmiri and others in tablet for to increase his strength. Now he is dead without even having his way. Why would someone indulge in drugs to please a girl. That is stupidity. What women need is money."

The girlfriend while narrating her own side of the story said the deceased called her to come upstairs, which she did afterwards,

She said, "He called me to come upstairs and I told I will come up shortly. When I got there, he had already put off his shirt and was holding a cellophane with liquid inside. I asked him what he was drinking and he said pure water.

"On the table was a small black kind of pipe and a white powdery substance, lighter and other things. He was acting somehow, closing his eyes and I asked him what was wrong with him, whether he wanted to sleep, then next thing, he lay down on the bed and said i should leave him alone, that he wants to sleep.

"At this point, I got worried and came downstairs and called one girll to come, that I don't know what is wrong with KC. When she arrived; he had already passed out and I told her to call the Manager. The Manager came and told us to check his phone and get numbers we can call. The first person I called said he was in Ogidi, I called so many numbers until I got this guy (she pointed at a man standing around there) and he came. That's what happened."

Efforts to reach the state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Tochukwu Ikenga failed as his number was not reachable.
