Mystery! Construction workers discover freshly buried body of a woman in Anambra
It was a an unprecedented gory sight on Saturday as Construction workers at the Light of the Nation Tower site in Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s country home of Ekwulobia in Aguata Local Government Area, Anambra State stumbled upon a freshly buried woman’s body.
Recall that the ongping construction in the area was part of Soludo’s initiative to beautify the environment and establish a smart mega city.
To this end, nearby buildings were encroached and to also accommodate the construction of the Ekwulobia Flyover and road dualization.
According to Sources the unearthed corpse appears to be recently buried, raising questions about the identity of the victim and the circumstances surrounding her death.
Further investigation uncovered that the husband of the woman in question had passed away about five years ago.
It was learnt that as of Saturday afternoon, a large crowd had gathered at the scene, with many expressing shock and curiosity.
Meanwhile, attempts to reach out to officials from the construction company failed as they declined to comment.
However, insiders confirmed that community leaders had been informed, and a report was likely to be filed with the police.
The police are yet to confirm if the matter has been officially reported to them.
